Message	the torsional strain is acting around. The effect of the roof on the torsional stiffness of the chassis is proportional to the distance of the roof to the twisting axis raised to the 4th power, so despite it's relatively thin cross section, it's absolutely possible that the roof has a significant effect on torsional stiffness.
